«Risuona la campana della libertà » religiosa e di educazione. Per l’Incontro mondiale delle famiglie

«Risuona la campana della santa libertà, chiama tutte le nazioni della Terra. Figli e figlie di un solo Padre, inviati a diffondere la parola salvifica di Dio. Venite e raccoglietevi come un'unica famiglia alla mensa del Signore…»

Così inizia l’inno dell’Incontro mondiale delle famiglie che si terrà a Filadelfia dal 22 al 27 settembre, e che è stato eseguito per la prima volta due domeniche fa nella Basilica cittadina. Un rimando alla famosa “Liberty Bell”, al cui suono si adunarono gli abitanti di Filadelfia per la lettura della Dichiarazione d'indipendenza nel 1776, e che oggi richiama la libertà religiosa e di educazione messe sempre più alla prova a ogni latitudine.

Sons and daughters of one Father, sent to spread God’s saving Word.
